Good Shepherd Walk Raises Funds & Awareness
By Mike Mead,
Board of Directors Member
The wind and sudden downpour rain did not dampen the spirits of those who came out on Saturday, October 31 to participate in the Good Shepherd Clinic 5K Fun Run & Walk.
The firs-time event raised over $8,000 for the Clinic from the contributions of participants and donors. The fun run & walk began with more than 60 participants, but when the rains hit came about five minutes after the start, only the hard-core competitors remained, led by overall winner Luis Monge of McDonough.
The Clinic would like to thank the many supporters, participants, volunteers and donors for making the fun run a success. If you would like to purchase a T-shirt from the event, contact the Clinic via e-mail at godshep@bellsouth.net, or visit the Clinic in-person. Remaining T-shirts are just $5.
